Our Staff and Teammates

Michael’s Barkery’s Mission is to provide opportunities to make a difference in the lives of adults with cognitive disabilities while having fun supporting animal lovers. All of our dog treats are made with high quality, nutrient rich ingredients in a state of the art kitchen. Our teammates are involved in all aspects of our production including making dough, cutting out the cookies, baking, and packaging. We would love an opportunity to meet with you, show you some sample cookies and options, and introduce you to some of our teammates.
Caroline Roloff, General Manager
Caroline is the general manager of Michael's Barkery. Caroline is originally from Mt. Pleasant but has lived mostly in Georgia, where she spent 10 years in the pet care industry. Starting her career as a kennel technician, but moved into a management quickly after managed different pet care services in Gwinnett and Atlanta that featured day care, in-home care, and grooming. Caroline always wanted to move back to the Charleston area and got the opportunity when she heard about Michael’s Barkery. After meeting Scott and Karen and hearing about their mission, Caroline joined the team last September.
Shawna Hall, Exceptional Employee Facilitator
Shawna is our Exceptional Employee Facilitator. She hires, trains, and creates necessary modifications and accommodations for our teammates with cognitive disabilities. Shawna graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. She has experience as a teacher, ABA therapist, and clinical mental health counselor and currently works at Whitmore Compuhigh as a psychology teacher and student support coach.

    Cameron has been with us since May 26, 2020. He has been creating all of our videos since his arrival, and helps with the website! He is incredible!

  • Meet Delaney

    Delaney was our first teammate hired at Michael's Barkery, so he does not have a first day video. He is a great employee who works in the kitchen as well as the grooming area. He really loves to play with the dogs, listen to music, and play video games.

  • Meet the Hanahan High School Students

    Several groups of students from Hanahan High School and their amazing teacher, Ms. Fomichella, visited us each week prior to schools closing from the Coronavirus. We sure do miss working with those kiddos!
